5 star to Andrew. Andrew came by chance.... We needed a bricklayer who knew their trade - Andrew was just that sort of tradesperson. The gable end of our bungalow has cracks along the mortar lines, suffice to say steel ties were needed to repair the brickwork. Andrew completed the work to a good standard and re-pointed the gable end (under challenging conditions, it was during our heatwave in June/July of this year) and to the time scale he had given. Excellent work, skilled, efficient and highly professional. He is a great person to deal with; we would recommend him to anyone wanting his 'brickwork' skills.

After being let down by 2 other companies who did not even bother to turn up when they said they would, I contacted Lancashire Brickwork regarding some holes appearing above a window, some briks that had failed and some pointing and I am so glad I did. Andrew's knowledge and experience immediately identified what was the cause of the issues and the correct way to fix them and gave a very good price. Lancashire Brickwork did quite a lot of work on our home recently. Mainly re pointing, roofing, replacing damaged bricks/gutters and relaying the patio. Lancashire Brickwork repointed my end terraced house in Leyland. He was very professional and kept me informed of all aspects of the job. He even pointed out a few things that I should have got done while the scaffold was there, which saved me some money.

Lancashire Brickwork repointed the rear elevation of an end terrace property for me and I was completely satisfied with every aspect of the work. Whilst the work was ongoing we identified a dangerously corroded gutter which Lancashire Brickwork replaced at a very reasonable price. I initially contacted Andrew to replace some brickwork and pointing to the gable end of our property. I have to say he has been most communicative and informative right from the start with regard to what he was going to do and gave excellent advice as to what what other items needed attention. Andrew has given us plenty of advice on what needed to be done regarding water ingress and he has installed cavity trays and replaced soffits and facias.

After being let down by other contractors, I contacted Andrew to provide a quote for some pointing to the front of our house. He provided a quote extremely quickly (which was cheaper than the other quotes provided) and booked us in for the job. Lancashire Brickwork came to re-point our 18th century cottage in traditional lime mortar. We also had our chimney stack re-pointed and we had ventilation vents put in the roof. In addition, he applied Permagard, a waterproofing agent which lasts a good 30 years or so. Andrew obviously is very knowledgeable about his craft. Andrew was very communicative throughout and was able to offer advice and guidance regarding maintenance.

We would highly recommend him for this type of work and we would be happy to use him again for future works we might need to carry out.

Andrew kept us fully informed as to when he could do the job for us and ordered the materials well in advance which was helpful in view of the current shortage of materials. I recently moved to Leyland and Andy couldn’t have been more helpful in putting my property in order. Before I even moved, he was the only person willing to give me a quote for free on work that needed doing which helped me negotiate a fairer price for my purchase.

Lancashire Brickwork repointed our whole house "3 bed semi". We were delighted with the work done and impressed with Andy's wealth of knowledge and good advice. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he even did extra work for us as we needed x 4 lintels replacing in preparation for new windows being installed and he replaced the soffits at the front and back, as they had seen better days.

Andy kept us informed throughout the whole process and was always on time and more importantly reliable (he does what he says he will). He is coming back to do some more work once the windows are installed to make sure his work is spot on and ensure that we are happy. He is also helping to construct a canopy above my front door.

Lancashire Brickwork re-pointed our gable end on our Victorian semi. I chose to go with Andy after speaking to him on the phone. He gave up a lot of his time and shared his knowledge before I'd even met him. I could tell he had years of experience behind him and so I booked him in.

Lancashire Brickwork repointed the side of our house and the chimney breast. They gave us good advice on weatherproofing and reducing the amount of dust created by the job when we were asking for a quote. They worked safely and professionally during the week, and replaced some of the bricks which needed replacing without any additional charge. Actually the whole job worked out 100 pound cheaper than first quoted as it didnt require as much weatherproofing product as first thought.

Very approachable and easy to talk to, they gave us regular updates of the work as it was progressing. I would use Lancashire Brickwork again next time my house needs any work doing.

We used Lancashire Brickwork in February 2017 to do some pointing and brick repair work. They originally gave us the quote in October 2016 and arranged to do the work early 2017. They were on time and kept us well informed as to when they would be arriving.

The job turned out to be quite messy as we found further things needed which previous builders had done incorrectly. Lancashire Brickwork were very helpful and knowledgeable and went that extra bit for us. They helped us with a chimney flu liner installation that we needed fitting for a woodburning stove. We had some large heavy old sandstone lintels to be removed also. The finished job looks lovely. Plus they fitted all new guttering too!

We appointed Lancashire Brickwork because out of everyone we contacted they took the time to explain everything to us, were very knowledgeable and gave their honest opinion. They kept us updated all the way through, answered all our questions and were very supportive.

• Chimney partially rebuilt, re-pointed, flashing repaired and closed vents opened up with new pots and pepper pots.
• External air vents fitted to chimney breasts.
• House re-pointed.
• Front of house 'dropped' bricks re-aligned.
• Front and side of house wall ties replaced.
• Blown bricks replaced.
• Ridge tile replaced and others re-pointed.
• Slipped roof tiles put back in place.
• Removed and replaced some bricks so we could clean inside the cavity wall.

They suggested other things that could be done whilst the scaffolding was up such as painting the woodwork, soffits and coating the walls with Enviroseal which we did ourselves.

We are delighted with the work they've done and highly recommend them. We have already booked them to repair our other chimney and will use them again next year to build a new brick garden wall.

Where we live is in the middle of Queensway industrial estate and many other tradesmen have also commented on what a good job they have done.

We recently had Lancashire Brickwork at our house to re-point the back and the gable end.  Whilst they were carrying out these works, we showed them a few other jobs such as the guttering and the facias which they completed and even ended up repointing the rest of the house. The price was very reasonable.
