HeliBar Reinforcing
Lancashire Brickwork installs Helical Spiral bars which are designed for permanent and reliable crack stitching repairs to masonry walls and brickwork. They are stainless steel reinforcing bars for strengthening and stabilising masonry in new build and remedial applications and provide a long-term solution for strengthening brickwork.
If you are having your property fully re-pointed then it would be advisable to take this opportunity to insert the bars and secure any eroded steel ties. Most properties over 60 years old have corroded, rusty wall ties.
Installation
The Helical Spiral bars are cut to size and installed across cracks in a wall by being bonded into cut horizontal slots in the masonry with either resin or grout. Once installation is complete, the bars and grout are concealed so that the wall and stonework maintains its appearance.
